The original Two Hands is on Mott Street in Nolita, and is best known for its extremely friendly and attractive Australian staff, and for its photogenic avocado toast and acai bowls. It’s a great place to hang out over a coffee and some food, and boy does every blogger/photographer/creative director in downtown Manhattan know it.
The newer Tribeca Two Hands isn’t a replica of the original – it’s more of a grown up cousin. To start, they serve dinner and liquor her, and the menu is a bit more advanced. At dinner, you can have a roast chicken or burrata, and at lunch there’s a burger and a beet-cured salmon bowl. You can still get an avocado toast, but it’s going to have pickled chiles on it. It’s predictably a bit of a sh*tshow during weekend brunch here, but we enjoy it a lot for a weekday breakfast or lunch, or an easy neighborhood dinner any day of the week.
